How Should She Deal With Her Gross, Loud Neighbor?
There are rude neighbors, and then there's this girl. A Sparkler writes:
My neighbor is rude. Not regular rude either. She is... UBER RUDE. Today, for example, I was sitting at my desk studying for this mega test. With the course of two or three hours, she slammed her door EVERY FIVE MINUTES. (yes, i even started to count) Needless to say, I could not focus. I went to the RA and complained, but she told me it wasn't quite hours, and basically to quit whining. The library was closed and I really did not have any other place to go. She eventually stopped, but this isn't the first problem. One night, she tapped on the wall for four hours. I even went and knocked on her door and asked her to stop. She slammed the door in my face, and tapped LOUDER. She blasts her tv, screams in her room, bangs on her walls, slams her door, shoves me out of her way, almost knocks people out with doors, ignores everyone's existence but her own and the worst part it, she has horrible hygiene too.
I've talked to a lot of people in my quad, and they all have experienced the same things I have. And our RA won't do anything about it, nor will the housing office. She is hateful. She is rude. She is disgusting. Our bathrooms are only cleaded weekly (even tho it's supposed to be daily :( ) and one week, we had to use another quads bathroom, she stuffed the toilets with paper, I'm not even sure hwat was in the sinks, and the shower floors were covered in... well, im not sure of that either. Our whole quad smelt SO BAD. And she laughed about it in the meeting concerning who did it. Auntie, no one in charge seems to want to deal with her (someone said they didn't want to deal with it cuz they think she has a mental disorder - she only talks to herself...) but it's becoming extremely hard to deal with. Housing said that our dorms are so packed that they are not moving anyone, and our contracts are for the year. School just began and I don't want this affecting my grades because i can't study in my room, or even sleep for that manner. What can I do to make this a livable situation?
How should this Sparkler deal with her terrible neighbor? Have you ever coped with a jerk like this? Leave your suggestions in the comments!
