General Linear Form -
Equations in general linear form look like this:
where A , B , and C are integers,
is the x-intercept, and
is the y-intercept.
Ax + By = C
where A , B , and C are integers,
is the x-intercept, and
is the y-intercept.
Slope-Intercept Form -
Equations in slope-intercept form look like this:
where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept of the line, or the y- coordinate of the point at which the line crosses the y-axis.
y = mx + b
where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept of the line, or the y- coordinate of the point at which the line crosses the y-axis.
Point-Slope Form -
Equations in point-slope form look like this:
where m is the slope of the line and ( h, k ) is some point on the line.
y - k = m(x - h)
where m is the slope of the line and ( h, k ) is some point on the line.
