If you guys have been watching Disney XD's Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, you're probably already familiar with its brilliant blend of superhero adventure and Family Guy-style cutaway comedy. But nothing could have prepared you for the next character to make his debut in this animated series... the Spectacular Spider-Ham.
Yes, in that strange time of the 1980s Marvel Comics ran a 17-issue series starring a pigged-out version of Spider-Man named Peter Porker (yes, really), who fought crime in a world of anthropomorphized creatures like Captain Americat and the Hulk-Bunny. Like we said... it was a different time. Though Spider-Ham has mostly been relegated to back-issue bins and comic-shop punchlines, the witty writers behind Ultimate Spider-Man have decided not to miss this chance to play with one of the oddest aspects of Spider-Man's history. Wonder how? Check out the clip below, and if you're going to the San Diego Comic-Con, read Marvel's press release to find out how to get more info on this great cartoon!
