Whovians, GET EXCITED.
The BBC have a whole host of new details online about the new series, and we here at Mindhut braved hordes of Daleks and Cybermen in order to bring them straight to your attention!
Let's break it down episode by episode (beware SPOILERS, all ye who enter here!)
1. Asylum of the Daleks
The premiere will feature a long-awaited comeback of the Daleks—Doctor Who's oldest rivals. We're not sure exactly what they'll be getting up to, but we're guessing that extermination of all life forms is probably involved. According to the latest from the BBC, the episode will feature every single type of Dalek ever featured.
"This is an epic Dalek adventure that kicks off the new series in explosive style! If you think you know all there is to know about the Daleks, think again" said Executive Producer Caro Skinner.
2. Dinosaurs on a Spaceship
Yes, you read that right. We said DINOSAURS ON A FREAKING SPACESHIP!!! This could be one of the best things ever seen not just in Doctor Who, but in the history of television.
If you want to do nothing else for the next month but count down the days until this goes on air, read this: "The Doctor will come face to face with some of the most monstrous creatures evolution has ever produced, on some of the most monstrous sets we've ever built. We took one look at Chris Chibnall's brilliant script and said to ourselves 'We're going to need a bigger corridor,'" said Head Writer/Executive Producer Steven Moffat.
And check it out—Rupert Graves from Sherlock will be co-starring!
And no, unfortunately we can't cryogenically freeze you until the premiere.
3. A Town Called Mercy
Clearly, the people behind Series 7 are treating the Whovian legacy very carefully. We think it's really great that they are bringing back a lot of old favorites as far as monsters and settings—especially in the third episode, which will be in the Wild West! The Time Lord hasn't been here since the 60's!
It will be a full-blooded western. "We knew from the start we need some serious location shooting for this one, and given the most iconic American setting imaginable, there was only one place to go—Spain," said Moffat.
Call us crazy, but we're hoping John Cleese guest stars in this one!
What are you looking forward to in Season 7?
