The Good: Every year Pixar puts out an animated movie worth paying attention to, and this summer was no exception. Brave was noteworthy in that it was Pixar's first film to feature a female protagonist, and, of course, its animation was stunning. Additionally, many praised the film for its surprisingly involved story.
The Bad: On the other hand, some viewers felt that Pixar squandered their chance to do something really great with a leading lady; instead, they thought the film and its characters were too one-note and clichéd when compared with some of the studio's best efforts.
The Verdict: Even if Brave wasn't the best Pixar movie, people are going to continue to watch and enjoy it. Besides… it's not Cars 2.
