This sinister race brought to you by the world of Star Trek is actually a collective of thousands of disparate species that have turned into cybernetic organisms that function as drones. They seek to spread their race across the universe to all living things. The race have dogged the federation through many incarnations of the series and were the chief threat in Star Trek:Fist Contact, which all aspiring Trekkies should see.
