Stonefish

It’s amorphous, has a gaping mouth, sedentary, and sounds an awful lot like Jabba the Hutt, so it’s hard to believe that something like a stonefish can be dangerous. Except for the spines lining the stonefish’s dorsal fin. When disturbed, the spines on the fin stick up and inject a painful neurotoxin with the amount administered directly proportional to the weight applied to it when stepped on. So the next time you’re wading across the water, remember to tread lightly.
