On her productive relationship with Joe Wright, Knightley said, "it's a very strange thing: a different director could do exactly the same thing that Joe does, and talk to me in the same way, but it wouldn't work the same way because they're not Joe. I love his imagination. I love his aesthetic. I love the fact that he gives 150% of himself to every project that he does, and he demands 150% from every single person that's involved. He makes it seem like it's the most important thing in the world."
