Wild, passionate, and smart, Mary ran away with Percy Shelley at only 16. They lived a tumultuous, nomadic life, made many influential friends during their adventures, and matured into one of the most famous literary power couples of all time. Percy Shelley's poetry and idealism still inspire writers today, and some argue Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is the first work of science fiction.
