Mummer's Day, Cornwall, UK, and Philadelphia

This is another winter holiday for Halloween lovers! Mummer's Day takes place both on Boxing Day and New Year's Day, and is still delightfully pagan. It's celebrated with elaborate masks, face painting, and dancing. Strangely, the only place it's caught on outside of Cornwall is Philadelphia: there is a Mummer's Parade there every New Year's Day (pictured.)
