The artist's intent: A detailed representation of the Jesus Christ's execution, with angels looking over the scene from the top two corners.

The outcome: The "vehicles" the angels are flying by in look like some bizarre combination of Jetsons-style flying cars and a straight-up comet. Nice wheels, Seraphim!
