You probably haven’t heard of him, even though he’s got famous fans like James Franco, but this man writes on the real. He has essays composed entirely of bumper sticker slogans, (see: Remote) which is not only innovative non-fic writing, but full-blown pop-culture commentary when in the capable hands of Shields. His book Reality Hunger, for example, consists ENTIRELY of quotes from other people. How does he do this? Only one way to find out!
