Jonathan Franzen and David Foster Wallace count him as an influence, and you could too. Check out White Noise and Ratner’s Star. Both have narratives that are separate and distinguished, yet fluid and perfectly sequenced. Nothing’ll prep you better for all those "narrative structure" convos in college!
