This is a recent mock-up of a multi-purpose Martian base, made by NASA's Glenn Research Center. This base includes shelter, water towers, launch pads, rovers, gliders, solar panels, and what looks like the beginnings of an observatory. Those circus-top shelters probably have a great dance floor too.
