We’re not sure whether or not the ultimate Jedi Master will get his own spin-off. But if he does, we see only one possibility in the casting department: Gollum himself. Serkis, who also mesmerized as Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, has that whole motion/performance capture thing down—no one else compares. But no matter what filming devices or techniques they use, Serkis is the only possible choice for the role.
