Visual Mimicry

Camouflage is rampant throughout the animal and plant kingdoms, but no creature is quite so adaptable in this regard as the chameleon. Their skin pigments can manipulate color, which is invaluable in hiding the otherwise vulnerable reptile from predators. But the chameleon's artistry is most evident when it is lovelorn: then, it'll really put on the Technicolor Dreamcoat to attract the ladies. Bonus fact: chameleons can move their eyes fully in their sockets, giving them panoramic vision!
