The Wooly Mammoth

If we're going to bring back the Dire Wolf, we should also bring back some of its favorite foods: like say, the Wooly mammoth. These enormous relatives of modern day elephants have been on the list of animals to resurrect for decades. In 2011, a team of Japanese researchers announced that they would clone the mammoth within six years. Of all the animals on this list, you are likely to see a Wooly mammoth in a wildlife preserve the soonest. Just try not to anger it; mammoth tusks can be as long as 12 feet, and imagine how grumpy you'd be after a 10,000 year sleep.
