The History of the NASA Spacesuit



Here's a great view of the liquid air backpack (aka LAB) that comes equipped with the Mark III, a spacesuit NASA has designed for future exploration. It stores twelve pounds of liquid air, providing breathable oxygen, sufficient suit pressurization, and carbon dioxide removal from a ventilation loop, as well as heat exchange for the suit.
