Death Valley

Death Valley has earned its sinister name. It's the hottest place on Earth, with the aptly named Furnace Creek reaching temperatures of 134 degrees F. It's also the lowest and driest area in North America, though that doesn't prevent a number of hardy flora and fauna from taking up residence here. Both coyotes and roadrunners call the park home, so be prepared for some real life Looney Tunes if you visit.
