Mariana Trench

Imagine that you are at the deepest part of the ocean, under 1,000 times the pressure you're used to, but that that this is actually the least of your problems because you're also standing on an erupting volcano. Welcome to the Mariana Trench. It is the deepest place on Earth, and marks where the Pacific continental plate is pushed under the Mariana Plate, spewing our planet's magna guts everywhere. James Cameron hung out there last year, so you know it must be an "it" place.
