The Summit of Mount Everest
You know a place is extreme if in order to get there, you have to hike past the frozen bodies of other people who attempted the same thing. The peak of Mount Everest is the highest point on Earth (measured from sea level), and is thrust so far into the atmosphere that all but the most badass of climbers need oxygen tanks just to breathe the air. The mountain has claimed over 200 lives, but even it is not as dangerous as its neighbor Annapurna, which has a staggering death rate of 38%. Don't mess with the Himalayans.
