To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

The only book on our list assigned as often (or moreso) than The Catcher in the Rye, Harper Lee’s one and only novel is about a brave lawyer named Atticus Finch who is willing to fight against the racism of the south in the early to mid-twentieth century. This is also definitely a case when the movie is worth seeing, in addition to reading the really great book.
