The Top 10 Coolest Astronauts Ever

Sunita Williams

You may already know Sunita Williams from the International Space Station tour we posted back in January, when Williams was the commander of the ISS (she has since returned to Earth). Williams is an absolute powerhouse: she holds the record for the longest single spaceflight for a woman as well as most spacewalk time for a woman, logging 50 hours and 40 minutes of time spent floating around outside the ISS. She also ran the 2007 Boston Marathon in space, and used the fact that she was able to cast a vote in the 2012 Presidential elections from orbit as a strong reminder to others about the importance of engaging in this civic duty. When she's not breaking insane records, Williams windsurfs, snowboards, runs triathlons, and bow hunts, because she just can't seem to leave her awesomeness in space.
