12 Scientific Inaccuracies in Prometheus

Patient Recovery: 0 Seconds

The Movie: After her handy robotic Caesarian, Shaw gets out of the operation bot ready to fight aliens, run away from spaceships, and repel effortlessly from high places. Naturally, she winces occasionally from that pesky pain.

Real Life: Who is she, Wolverine? The woman just had her stomach cut open and an alien ripped out. That's not some tiny boo boo that can be walked off. C-sections leave women bedridden for days, with any minor movement causing excruciating pain. It takes months to fully heal. It would be one thing if she managed to drag herself out of the room before passing out, but to basically go through an American Gladiators course after suffering that level of trauma is impossible, no matter how much her adrenaline is pumping.
