The Fall of Arthur, J. R. Tolkien (available May 23)

Most die-hard Tolkien fans know that their hero started an epic alliterative poem featuring King Arthur as his subject, but never quite finished it. This summer, we’ll all get a chance to get a gander at it. Written in the same metre as Beowulf, Tolkien never finished editing Arthur, even though he often told friends and interviewers he wished to do so. Thankfully, the author’s son, Christopher Tolkien, took over editing duties, and the result, which features Arthur and Gawain battling against Mordred, will be available soon! We can’t wait!
