We Rank the Doctors!

1. Matt Smith (Eleventh Doctor)

Matt Smith’s tenure as the Eleventh Doctor has seen Doctor Who become the biggest it has ever been. There is more focus on the series than ever in its history, and so much of that is because Matt Smith is just perfect in the role. He has the Second Doctor’s childish eccentricity, the Seventh Doctor’s dark side, and the ability to make even the weaker scripts so much better on the strength of his performance alone. Although some wouldn't put him on the top of their personal lists, it’s hard to argue against his importance in breathing new life into the franchise.
