Lena Headey, The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Little seen but well-loved by its core fans, TSCC only lasted two seasons, but man, did the women on that show leave an impression! She’s currently homicidally scary as Cersei on Game of Thrones, but in 2008, Lena Headey played for the good guys. Taking over the iconic Sarah Connor role was no small feat—and Headey managed to make the character all her own. Simultaneously battling external forces (those out to kill her son) and internal ones (her knowledge that she will die from cancer,) Headey made Sarah Connor both sympathetic and scary-badass at the same time.
