Kara “Starbuck” Thrace, Battlestar Galactica

The original Starbuck was a dude, but when Katee Sackhoff took over the role in the 2004 reboot, the character was elevated to new heights. A skilled and loyal fighter pilot, Kara Thrace took on all comers as she helped save the Galactica from mutiny and various other Cylon and human-induced crises before giving her posse the coordinates to land on a safe and habitable planet. When she saw that her crew was safe and settled, she said goodbye and literally disappeared. Most stone-cold cool exit ever!
