Trilobites

Of all the ocean-dwelling creatures of prehistory, trilobites were some of the most diverse with innumerable species varying in both size and physical characteristics. And as far as we know, the little guys were pretty harmless—assuming we’re not talking about the cloned specimens Jurassic Park would so have crawling about nearby lakes and rivers. We definitely see them in a stomach-churning role as leech-like critters that can really get under one’s skin (quite literally).
