15. The Ring-Tailed Cat

Mountain goats can scale cliff sides, and spiders can trek up walls. But the ring-tailed cat is without rival when it comes to treetop gymnastics. Though it's actually a member of the raccoon family, it shares the superpowers of the feline cousins after which it was named (nine lives, infinite grace, and never-ending reserves of self esteem). It has also evolved ankles that can pivot over 180 degrees, allowing it to perform canopy cartwheels without batting an eye. It can ascend narrow passages by ricocheting between walls, and can balance in incredibly precarious places. Catwoman wishes she had the flexibility and finesse of this little acrobat.
