The Most Viral Summer Movies of All-Time


Finally, it should be no surprise that one of the biggest money making films of all time, The Dark Knight, also had one of the best marketing campaigns. The film utilized viral marketing to make fictional campaign ads for the character of Harvey Dent aka Two Face. Among the gimmicks was an email one could send that at first showed a campaign poster for Dent after which pixels would slowly be removed to reveal an image of the Joker. This was just one of many ads that contributed to the film's stellar success.
