If the ridiculously splashy drama and different-dude-a-minute Sookie Stackhouse sagas by Charlaine Harris ain’t your bag, then these graphic novels based on the TV series are perfect fodder for True Blood fans. Based on the material provided by the TV show—not their sudsy source books—these comics are at times more wild and entertaining than the show. A plus? Series creator Alan Ball co-wrote many of the comics, so trust us, the quality is there.
