7 Culturally Relevant Super Heroes

DC Entertainment

Making his debut in the New 52 reboot of Teen Titans, Bunker is one of the few openly gay heroes in comics that embraces his homosexuality, this conviction contributing to his gregarious and jovial character. Not surprising as the Mexican village he hailed from, El Chilar, accepted not just his amazing powers, but also his sexual orientation. As such, Bunker demonstrates that, in spite of a world of naysayers, there will always be a smiling face or two in the crowd to run towards.
