Don't mess with bull sharks. These underwater torpedoes are extremely territorial, and are responsible for the majority of near-shore attacks. Indeed, the famous Jersey Shore attacks of 1916, which inspired Jaws, were most likely carried out by bull sharks, not great whites. Bulls love shallow water, and have even evolved the ability to survive freshwater, so you aren't safe from them in river estuaries either. They are famous for their aggressive bump-and-bite technique, in which they get a sense of their meal by body-checking it first. They are undeniably awesome...until you're on the receiving end of their fury.
