Without Trantor from Isaac Asimov’s Foundation novels, we wouldn’t have Coruscant in Star Wars. Simple as that. It also happens to be just an entirely cool planet, which makes its debut in the first pages of the first novel of the series. It is described as a planet entirely covered by one city, much like the aforementioned Republic capitol.
