Magrathea – Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

Of all the weird little places in Douglas Adams’ books, Magrathea is probably the most interesting. On Magrathea, the people design planets. Yup, you read that right. They build ‘em from scratch, for anybody that will pay. Apparently, they’re even responsible for making Earth itself. We should probably send them a thank-you note.
