Be Yourself

The most successful members of any species are the ones who know what they are awesome at, and aim to be the best. There is a certain degree of luck involved — in evolution, as in life, conditions must be favorable for whatever niche you occupy. But as Aristotle said, "where your talents and the needs of the world cross, there lies your vocation." The world needed a new biological kingdom after the Permian-Triassic event, and the dinosaurs used their idiosyncratic abilities to rise to the occasion. Using your natural affinities to help solve big problems is a great strategy whether you are a human being or a velociraptor.
