You may not know who Temple Grandin is, but her story is certainly an inspiring one. Claire Danes plays Grandin, an autistic woman who overcame both sexism and her own disability, to become one of the most influential animal behavior scientists of her time, and consequently developed several technologies that have greatly reduced the suffering of livestock, which she strove to treat humanely.
