Day 173: I ain't afraid of no ghosts

Her mother’s support has been a big part of her gaming life as well as crucial to helping her through this yearlong challenge.

“My mom always saw the benefits of video games and how they help with problem solving, stress management, critical thinking and hand-eye coordination. She always encouraged me to play,” Stewart told The MindHut. “I'm grateful that she always supported me and taught me to stand up for my passions even if it was different than others in my age group. If girls didn't want to play video games with me, I'd play with the boys. She taught me that I should always be proud of who I was and just be myself.”
