12. We Can Resurrect Neanderthals
Now that the Neanderthal genome is mapped, what's stopping us from cloning one? Paperwork. That's literally it. The ethical quagmire of bringing the Neanderthal back to life after its long dormancy will require years of interrogation. Even so, it is an astonishing possibility to consider. The extinction of the Neanderthal is most popularly attributed to human expansion into their lands. If we were the ones that edged them out of existence, how fitting that we be the ones to invite them back in.
