2. Neanderthals were European Before it Was Cool...

...or should we say, while it was cool. Neanderthals, with their stocky build and heat-saving adaptations, were uniquely able to handle the colder temperature of Pleistocene Europe. When they splintered off from our common ancestor, they headed North, while Homo sapiens stuck to the warmer weathers of Africa for another 200,000 years.
