The Joker – Daniel Day-Lewis

For very good reason, Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker in The Dark Knight will define the character for an entire generation. The idea of someone else playing the role is hard to digest, but the fact is that you just can’t leave Batman’s greatest villain on the sidelines because of a terrible real life tragedy. Daniel Day-Lewis is arguably the greatest method actor of all-time, and is the first man ever to win three Oscars for Best Actor in a Leading Role. There’d be nobody better to bring the Joker back to the big screen, although maybe having a method actor play a serial killer is kinda… dangerous.
