Frowning is Forbidden (Milan, Italy)
Apparently Disneyland isn’t the so-called “happiest place on Earth,” not according to one of Milan, Italy’s craziest laws. In a statue clearly inspired by an episode of The Twilight Zone, locals and tourists are expected to walk the streets with a big ol’ smile on their faces—or in the very least be acceptably content. Unless you’re in a hospital or at a funeral, authorities tend to, figuratively speaking, frown upon crying or any other negative emotion made public. In other words: Think happy thoughts—always.
