Can’t Eat More Than Three Sandwiches at a Wake (Massachusetts)
Wakes by their very definition alone are solemn affairs, requiring that guests exercise some tact. Everyone save for hunger. Dead relative or not, when your gut wants pastrami on rye, it wants pastrami on rye—no arguments! Empathetic towards mourners cursed with insatiable appetites, Massachusetts lawmakers are completely down with biting into a hoagie or two during the eulogy, as long as it doesn’t exceed three. It’s not all that fair... but they never said the sandwiches can’t be super-size.
