Cormac McCarthy’s The Road

Okay, okay, so we already included Cormac McCarthy’s modern masterpiece The Road on our recommend horror reads list, but the fact is that it just so happens to be a perfect example of environmentalist fiction, too! We’re never given too many details about what caused the world to collapse into completely terrifying post-apocalyptia, but it points us towards the only logical conclusion: humans did something stupid. Imagine that! The Road is really essential reading for sci-fi fans, horror fans, or people who just love a well-written novel.
