Watatsumi

Japanese folklore contains tales of numerous dragons, but perhaps the most widely known among them is the dreaded dragon god, Watatsumi, ruler of seas and oceans. This creature was known to be able to shape-shift often, taking human form, and lived in an underwater castle, where it vigilantly guarded its stash of magical tide jewels.
