Quentin Tarantino's Half Life

We probably could have filled this entire list with films that master writer/director Quentin Tarantino has been attached to, but the most unexpected is what would have been Tarantino's big screen take on the wildly successful Half Life video game series. Perhaps it's not THAT surprising; the games, after all, are gritty, hyper-violent and are basically a cavalcade of ass-kicking characters that are somewhat reminiscent of the soldiers Tarantino brought to life in Inglorious Basterds, but it IS a video game, and it's strange to hear of Tarantino venturing outside of video game territory. Well, it turns out he's a huge fan of the game series, and even whipped up a script treatment for the films, but the movie never saw the light of day for reasons unknown.
