The SunTower concept
All right, Masterminds, are you ready for the solar big leagues? Because NASA is. For decades, scientists have known that energy yields would be emphatically increased if we launched an orbiting solar power plant into space. Not only could you provide power to half the planet at any one time, there is no atmosphere to dilute that pure, unfiltered sun-juice. This concept drawing depicts the SunTower, a solar power satellite (SPS) that hosts thousands of individual panels.
