15 Classic Novel Endings We Would Change

Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein

Although the novel as a whole is seen as influential, the last third or so of Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land is kind of a mess that loses its focus and the earlier tone of the novel completely falls apart. This is even worse in the "original" extended edition, as even the cut-down major release was a bit too long for the story it was telling.
