Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

Just when Fahrenheit 451 feels like it is really hitting its stride and the awesome level is at the maximum, there's a sudden explosion and that is it. Book over. It feels an awful lot like the first book in a series rather than a standalone novel, and that's a big bummer in an otherwise really thought-provoking and worthwhile novel.
